This tour will let you experience the harsh nature of the North, see the northern lights and enjoy this unusual and beautiful atmospheric phenomenon, get unforgettable impressions from the heavenly beauty and take bright photos of the Aurora Borealis.

Our recommendations for shooting the northern lights:

• Spare batteries: in the cold the batteries discharge quickly, make sure to take the spare ones. If possible, keep them warm, closer to the body.
• Camera:  it is recommended to use a camera with interchangeable lens, although any camera would do. Larger size of the matrix gives better quality of the photos.
• Remote shutter release:  trigger cord is used to decrease the vibration of the camera. It replaces the camera’s integrated function of automatic shutter release. If you do not have such cord, we advise you to use the automatic shutter release function.
• Steady tripod:  it is needed to fix the camera in order to avoid the blurry image. It’s better to use the tripod with adjustable "head" to change the camera angle. If the tripod is unstable, secure it with something heavy.
• Lens: it is advised to use the wide-angle lens with focal lens from 10 to 24 mm with maximum aperture of f/2.8 (at least – f/3.5). The focus must be set manually.
